Chiropractic Techniques

Dynamic Healthcare Center is able to provide effective treatment by combining specific therapeutic, rehabilitative, and chiropractic techniques. We often combine these treatments to execute ideal results for our patient’s well being. We strive to use the best, latest techniques and technologies, setting us apart from many of the chiropractors you will discover.

Cox Flexion Distraction

The Cox Flexion Distraction Technique (Cox Technic) was cultivated by Dr. James M. Cox as an adjustment treatment, gently aiding the spine to heal naturally using no application of force. Cox Technic is founded on the principles of both osteopathic and chiropractic medicine, allowing effective comfort from lower back and leg pain. The technique is one of the most effective utilized by chiropractors today and requires no surgery.

Cox Flexion Distraction decompresses the spinal column by apply gentle stretching to the lower areas of the spine. These gentle pressures increase the disc height between the vertebrae, restoring the range of motion and adequate alignment to the spinal joints.

Diversified Technique

This is a widely used type of chiropractic manipulation/adjustment that includes most of the procedures taught in chiropractic institutions. This technique is the most commonly used of all chiropractic techniques and is the one probably most familiar to patients. The Diversified manipulation/adjustment entails a high velocity, low-amplitude thrust delivered by hand and possibly with assistance from a table or block. This usually results in a cavitation of a joint (quick, shallow thrusts that cause the popping noise often associated with a chiropractic manipulation/adjustment). As the name implies, the Diversified Technique can be used to treat many of the joints in the body and is the primary technique used by the doctors in our office.

Activator Technique

The activator technique is applied for patients who are uncomfortable with the idea of manual manipulation, or in severe pain. Traditional methods of chiropractic medicine involve hands-on manipulation, creating tension and torque across the soft tissues and joints. The Activator Technique, however, uses a specified instrument to make these adjustments more delicately and in smaller more target areas. A method far more useful if you are a patient experiencing issues with touch and motion.

Chiropractic Nutrition

An overall level of proper nutrition is vital to musculoskeletal health. Nutrition and chiropractic medicine are intertwined. So much so that even minute nutritional mistakes can undo all the progress that has been made during your chiropractic care.

Chiropractic issues can often be the cause of injured muscles and tissues. When seeking chiropractic care and analyzing your diet, an increased intake of lean proteins can help your body recover. Damages muscles and tissues crave protein for sustenance to build and repair. Calcium is also vital, as it can provide an added bonus to the overall strength of rehabilitating muscles.
